Google Pixel 10a 128GB Black
£162.99
Google Pixel 10a 128GB Black is positioned as a value-focused option in the Pixel range; actual offers may vary. It combines Tensor G4, Gemini tools, a 48MP main camera and a battery for daily use. A display up to 120Hz, reinforced design and update commitment provide a versatile package, with performance, endurance and feature availability subject to conditions. ## Gemini for daily tasks Gemini can help draft messages, summarise information and perform compatible cross-app actions with suitable account, permissions and services. Gemini Live supports voice conversations; answers may need clarification and it cannot be guaranteed to resolve every task. Circle to Search finds information from selected onscreen content. Live Caption adds text to played audio and compatible calls, while Live Transcribe turns microphone-captured speech into text. These are distinct features requiring supported languages, apps, settings and permissions. AI tools also depend on country, age, connection and possible subscription conditions. ## Cameras and image tools The rear system combines a 48MP Wide and 13MP Ultra Wide for daily pictures, landscapes and different compositions. Macro Focus, Night Sight and Astrophotography provide compatible modes for close-ups or dark scenes, with results depending on light, stability and settings. Camera Coach can show composition suggestions; it is not assumed to work offline in every case. Add Me combines captures to include the photographer in a group picture. Magic Eraser removes elements from compatible photos, with variable results. The 13MP front camera serves selfies and video calls according to app and connection without guaranteeing maximum sharpness in every situation. ## Battery and charging The battery has a typical capacity of 5,100mAh. Google states over 30 hours under its usage model and up to 120 hours with Extreme Battery Saver, which limits features; this is not five guaranteed days of intensive use. Actual endurance varies by network, apps and settings. It can reach up to 50% in around 30 minutes using a 45W or higher USB-C PPS charger and compatible cable under test conditions. This specifies the required charger rather than constant power drawn by the phone. The adapter is sold separately. It also supports Qi wireless charging with compatible equipment. ## Tensor G4 and storage Google-designed Tensor G4 supports compatible apps, AI features, editing and gaming. The 8GB RAM helps switch tasks, with fluidity varying by load and software. Nominal 128GB storage holds photos, apps and files, although the system uses some space and storage management may be needed. Memory-card expansion is not supported. Compare Pixel 10 with Tensor G5 for a different chip generation; improvements depend on the task. ## Display and fluidity The 6.3-inch Actua OLED screen has 2424 × 1080 pixels and refresh rates up to 120Hz for compatible scrolling, games and video. Up to 3,000 nits refers to peak brightness under specified conditions rather than perfect readability in direct sunlight. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front against certain damage without eliminating every scratch or impact. Compare Pixel 10 Pro XL for a larger display and higher peak brightness. ## Materials and durability A satin aluminium frame and matte composite back create a minimalist design. Google states 100% recycled aluminium in the housing and at least 81% recycled plastic in the rear panel; these percentages apply to those materials and parts. Packaging is advertised as 100% plastic-free. IP68 refers to laboratory water- and dust-resistance tests. Resistance is not permanent and does not guarantee protection in every storm, immersion or damaging situation. Grip and perceived solidity also depend on the user and device care. ## Google services and devices It pairs with compatible products such as Pixel Buds 2a or Pixel Watch 4. A suitable Google Account, apps, software, settings and connections are required. Music, messages, calendar and shared preferences depend on each feature; not every item of data or setting syncs automatically. The combined experience depends on device and service compatibility. ## Updates and security Google announces seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drops updates from the model's first availability on the US Google Store. This does not start anew with every purchase or guarantee every future feature. Compatible photo editing, Circle to Search, captions and AI-assisted audio filters depend on software, language and service. Face recognition, the fingerprint sensor and theft protection provide options with appropriate setup. Car Crash Detection, Crisis Alerts and SOS depend on country, permissions, connection and availability; they do not detect every emergency or guarantee assistance. Safe Browsing and Google's VPN help with certain connection and browsing risks; the VPN requires supported country and account and does not guarantee absolute security or anonymity. Updates and privacy settings remain relevant online and offline.
